About Us & FAQ's

Who are Craftea Parties?

Craftea Parties was created by Ali Coghlan, a mum of three living in Wicklow. Ali is passionate about crafts and recently released her first book Get Crafty with Mercier Press Ireland.

Ali along with her Craftea Team love entertaining children and all of life's celebrations. We are bursting with ideas and entirely commited to making your child's birthday party a memorable day.

What activities & crafts can you do with the kids?

The list is endless! Depending on ages, abilities, hobbies, interests, themes, seasons, guests being boys or girls or a mix both we can tailor make a party to suit the birthday child & their friends. Check out our party packages and other ideas. Parties run for 1 1/2 hours so please get in touch if you would like us to put together a party exactly for your needs. We can do a bespoke package for a smaller number of children with more than one craft to any theme you like.

And its not just crafts - We will always do some fantastically fun games with the kids - ranging from the traditional games like pass the parcel to some crazy new games they just won't believe.

We will discuss the party package with you in detail & provide you with a run down of the entire event.  We're always open to ideas so get in touch to talk through any special requests!

What kind of kids enjoy a CrafTeaParty?

We're pretty confident from experience that even the shyest, non-crafty, or super-active kids - be they girls or boys - of any age will thoroughly enjoy a Craftea Party.

We literally go to the moon & back to bring our creative ideas, personal touches & energy to ensure our parties are fun lively, interesting & inspiring.

Kids 5-12 yrs love our parties and even adults get Craftea! Everyone gets a chance to let loose, feel truly special & entertained.

Younger siblings are welcome to get involved too but we do limit the general age of the parties to age 5+

How does it all work?

Once we have talked through all ideas with you - you choose a party package to suit the birthday child, pay a booking deposit then we squirrel away getting ready like Craftea little elves!

Upon booking, we'll email you free printable personalized invitations & the week of the party we will email you a plan of action for the event so you'll know exactly what we'll do & bring that day. We will provide everything for the agreed party package.

On the big day, we'll arrive at the party venue least 10mins before the party starts to set up for the craft parties. We literally do not stop entertaining & getting everyone creative with lots of craft activities &fun games for the whole duration

We then tidy up everything afterwards so parents can relax (but more often than not.. join in the fun!).

How much is a Craftea Party?

€220 for up to 15 children for an hour and a half. €14 per additional child

* The T-shirt party is €250 for up to 15 children.

  • You can like us on Facebook to avail of special offers & discounts

  • Need to invite the whole class? We discount for large numbers!

  • Things like location, crafts requested, duration of party & special requirements may naturally require our general prices to be varied

I don't have huge amount of space in my house is this a problem?

Absolutely not, we have done some of our best parties in the smallest of spaces, as long as we have a kitchen table to do the crafts and a small area or little table to set up our facepaints that is all we need. We also do alot of our parties outside in the summer months all weather depending. If you would like a rent a local community hall or venue that's no problem either, we can come to wherever suits you best!

When will I serve the food at the party?

We generally advise to keep the party food and drinks to the last half an hour of the party. eg if your party is 2 hours long in total and you have booked us to come from 1-2.30pm then you can serve your birthday food and cake from 2.30-3pm before the parents collect the kids.

What should the children wear to the party?

Although we provide aprons for the parties,we always advise that children don't wear their best clothes as crafts can be messy so we don't want any clothes getting stained.
